OM3 is a type of fiber optic cable designed for high-speed data transmission. It is a multi-mode fiber cable that supports 10 gigabit Ethernet (10G) speeds up to 300 meters. It is composed of two strands of glass fiber, each with a diameter of 50 microns. OM3 is capable of transmitting data at 10G speeds over longer distances than OM2, which is limited to 33 meters. It is also more resistant to signal loss and interference than OM2. OM3 is ideal for data centers, enterprise networks, and other applications that require high-speed data transmission over long distances.
